Hyundai E&C is currently recruiting participants for the first cohort of “HILLSTATE Academy,” a hands-on training program designed to cultivate young talent who will lead the construction industry of the future.
“HILLSTATE Academy” is part of the “K-New Deal Academy” initiative organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. It is a training program that supports young people in developing practical skills through a curriculum directly planned and designed by companies.
The training program, newly developed and launched by Hyundai E&C, is designed to provide systematic training in construction, scheduling, safety, and quality management, with a focus on preparing participants to work as experts on construction sites. Furthermore, in line with the recent trend of digital transformation (DX) across the construction industry, the program enhances trainees’ employment competitiveness by integrating training in smart construction technologies - such as ▲BIM (Building Information Modeling) and ▲Primavera (project portfolio management software) - with job placement support programs.
The first cohort of “HILLSTATE Academy” is open to all young people aged 18 to 34, and applications can be submitted through the Hyundai E&C Technical Training Center website (edu.hdec.co.kr). The application period lasts until August 3, and the program will run for approximately four months, from August 11 to December 22, 2026.
Anyone may apply, regardless of whether they hold a National Tomorrow Learning Card or participate in the National Employment Support System, as there are no separate eligibility requirements or restrictions. In particular, tuition is fully covered, and trainees can also receive training subsidies and participation allowances, thereby minimizing their financial burden.
A Hyundai E&C official stated, “Hyundai E&C has been dedicated to cultivating construction talent through the Hyundai E&C Technical Training Center, the only specialized training institution among domestic construction companies,” adding, “We will ensure the successful operation of ‘HILLSTATE Academy’ as well, helping young people build stable careers and grow into key talent who will strengthen the future competitiveness of the construction industry.”
Meanwhile, since establishing its Technical Training Center in 1977, Hyundai E&C has conducted various training programs to cultivate talent for the construction industry. In addition to participating in the “K-New Deal Academy” initiative, the company plans to continue exploring vocational skills training and other programs to expand employment opportunities for young people.
