Petrochemical & Fertilizer Plants

Hyundai E&C has honed its unique competitiveness in the petrochemical and fertilizer sector based on specialized workers, deep knowhow and technological prowess. Our main achievement in the field of petrochemicals, which produces various basic chemical products using petroleum products or natural gas, includes Hyundai Petrochemical Complex I/II and the Hyundai Chemical Mixed Xylene (MX) Project. Hyundai E&C was recognized for outstanding construction and process management that shortened the construction schedule, ensured a high standard of quality and recorded zero accidents through a fast-track process that expedites construction by conducting the design and construction processes in parallel. Recently, we have also proven our project implementation capacity by obtaining the contract for the Heavy Feed Petrochemical Complex projects awarded by Hyundai Oilbank and Lotte Chemical. Furthermore, we completed the Fertilizer Plant Project (QAFCO 5&6) in Qatar, one of the largest projects of its kind in the world, consisting of an ammonia plant with a daily production capacity of 2,300 tons and a urea plant with a daily capacity of 3,850 tons. This allowed us to occupy an advantageous position in terms of large-scale follow-up projects as well as obtaining similar orders in the future.
