Underground Space

Underground space development to maximize land use and create new future cities is garnering attention as a new area of the global construction market. We have accumulated various experiences and outstanding capacity in underground space development, including Korean and overseas subway systems, waterway tunnels, and submarine tunnels such as the construction of Seoul Subway Line 1 in 1974. Our high level of technology and quality were globally recognized upon successfully building the oil storage facility in Jurong, Singapore in 2017 as one of the world’s top three oil hubs. We will also strive to secure future technological competitiveness by bolstering our capacity in specialized fields such as tunnel boring machines (TBM) through our accumulated experience.
