Hyundai E&C has received the Letter of Award for the Malolos to Clark Railway project (Railway Section 1 project) valued at about 573 million dollars from the Department of Transportation of the Philippines on September 18.Hyundai E&C forged a strategic alliance with Megawide, the local construction company, and Donga Geological Engineering Company to increase Hyundai E&C competitiveness in winning the project.

The Malolos to Clark Railway project is to build a railroad connecting Malolos and Clark in northern Manila as part of the 53-kilometer North-South Commuter Railway. Hyundai E&C will be in charge of Section 1 out of five sections. The Section 1 includes the construction of two railway stations and a 17-kilometer elevated bridge, and the construction period will be 48 months.
